The course promotes interest in English reading, wide reading skill and knowledge by reading Early Childhood

Guidence for Young Children(3)
Focuses on Principles and categoried of children guidence : development and management of guidance programs.
Techniques for modification of children's behavior in the home and classroom.

 

Curriculum for Young Children(3)
The course is designed for conceptulization of kindergarten curriculum planning ; instructional materials ; modern

teaching methods ; recent research and its application in the classroom. Specially understanding and planning

kindergarten curriculum, including objectives, contents, teaching methods, evaluation of education : group observation

of teaching.

 

Research Methodology of Early Childhood Education(3)
The course is designed for the understanding of the purpose of education research, determination of the research

planning, data, research, project design, presentation methods. Statistic theory, its application and interpretation

methods.

 

Theory and Pactice of Play(3)
The course provides basic theory and research about play teaching, child development and is used for the purpose of

developing concepts at the cognitive and affective levels.

Relation of teacher and teaching field to purposes of Early childhood education ; curriculum construction, teaching

The course provides basic theory about science teaching, child development, and the meaning of science, scientific

methods and process : Formal science, Informal and Incidential science activities and teaching strategies.

 

Early Childhood Developmental Psychology(3)
Fundamentals of infants and child physical, motor, mental, social, and emotional development, spanning the prenatal

period through childhood. Basic principles and theories of child development and learning with emphasis on parent-

child ; individual differences and nature-nurture issues.

 

Educational Methodology and Technology
The course realizes the Role of audio-visual instruments in the curriculum ; selection, preparations, and evaluation

of audio-visual materials.

 

Philosophical Trend in Early Childhood Education(3)
This subject is to study about the representative philosophers who had an effect on modern early childhood education

and to study about the charactenstics of the recent trend in early childhood education.

 

Social Studies for Young Children(3)
This subject is to study about theories for social development of young children and to prepare for the practice of

social education through researching the concrete activities and teaching the methodology relating to social

development of young children.

 

Christian Early Childhood Education I(3)
In order to establish the theories for Christian early childhood education, the concept, the philosophy, the purpose,

the learning theories, the curriculum, the methodology, the evaluation, and the theory for teacher of christian early

childhood education are dealt with.

Philosophy of Christian education is divided into three fields : metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology.

These are dealt with in the view of Christian perspective.

 

Comparative Early Childhood Education Theories(2)
The learning theories, the practices, the psychological theories for early childhood education of several countries

are analyzed and are compared with and are studied.

 

Usage of Educational Materials(3)
Students are required to have knowledge and theoretical foundations of different programs of ECE and learn how to

deal with educational materials according to each program.

This course will help students learn about cognitive abilities and development of children (0-8) in general.

 

Computer Education for Young Children(2)
The purpose this course is to help students learn how to use computer programs for young children and help them

use the computer as a convenient tool and technology for communication & useful information.

 

Field Studies
Students learn how to observe children in and out of the classroom in the field with the guidance of classroom

teachers and the instructor of the course.

 

Mathematics for Young Children(2)
Students are exposed to theories and practice about children's math. By the end of this course, students know how

to provide children with proper math activities, to design math programs, and to make teaching-learning methods

based DAP in order to help children develop their logical thinking.

 

Seminar on Education for Children with Special Needs
Students need to understand special needs and characteristics of exceptional children and their families and learn

how to include them in educational settings and society in non-exceptional ways.

 

Health for Young Children(2)
Learning physical health and disease management, nutrition, safety of young Children.

 

Introduction to Teacher Education
In this course, students are expected to learn about student teaching, pre-service & in-service programs,

teachers' role and qualification, development & change of their interests, and teacher-supervision, and learn how

 to get along with others in the field of ECE.

 

Music for Young Children
Students are exposed to diverse and creative music theories and methods and learn how to apply what they learn

to their own music programs via presentations.

 

Literature for Young Children
The purpose of this course is to help students to understand unique characteristics of children's literature and

reading & writing strategies so that they can help children enjoy their reading at home and school.

 

Movements & Physical Education for Young Children
Students are expected to learn the purpose of, contents, teaching skills, and educational materials about

movements and physical education for young children based on theoretical foundation and learn how to encourage

children to make beautiful rhythm and creative expressions.

 

Language Arts for Young Children
The purpose of this course is to help students understand the four modes of language (listening, speaking, reading,

writing) of children and their 1st, 2nd, and multi-language development and learn how to compare different language

programs and methods so that they can help young children reach the maximum level of their language development.

 

Music Instruments(1)
Piano and other musical instruments are required in educational settings for young children to learn songs, movements,

and rhythmic expressions in creative ways.
